. . . . . . . . silent prayer ♫: Redang Island 3D2N !

finally grabbed the chance to visit this beautiful island.

expecting a more picturesque scenery compared to Pulau Tioman.

early bird got a cheaper price at RM 338 for 3 days 2 nights

including the transport to and fro Shahbandar Jetty and Redang Island, 2 breakfast, 2 lunch, 2 high tea, 1 dinner, 1 BBQ dinner, 3 snorkeling as well as family room type accommodation .

a gang of 10 teenagers heading on this island on 21st of May.

we reached Shahbandar Jetty early in the morning & took the ferry at 9am.

when I opened my eyes, what I saw almost took my breath away!

the clear & blue ocean, beating with constant rhythm and the green island floating in the middle of the sea intoxicated me!

never have I been so close to the beauty of nature. :D

We stayed at Redang Bay which located at Pasir Panjang ( Long Beach )

Even it was not yet public holiday, the resort was packed with our people and foreigner. We had to queue for registration.

family room with 2 Queen size beds & 2 single beds

the room was big enough to accommodate more than 10 people. It was attached with air-conditioner and bathroom with heater but the pipe water has strange taste and pungent odour.

After settled down our stuffs, time to start the activities of day !

Activities

i ) the selling point of Pulau Redang no other than snorkeling & diving!

we took the snorkeling package for 3 snorkeling areas.

not to forget to teach the travelers to Go Green

first snorkeling was at Pulau Kerangga, 10 mins away from the main island.

the second snorkeling was at Pulau Pinang!

not the state of Malaysia but another small island located at south of main island, a fish feeding marine park.

last but not least,

here we come -- Pulau Ekor Tebu, the deep sea!

the current was big enough to pull us away. It's quite dangerous for those who can't swim.

Though it was enjoyable to travel under the sea, the penetration of sun ray was strong enough to tan us within short interval even we constantly reapplied sunscreen.

It truly disappointed me to have the view of dead corals covered the ground as the main target for me to travel here is the colourful, amazing & fantastic undersea trip. Sad to see how serious the pollution is.

ii ) we did have activities on the beach as well

so lucky to testify this wonderful moment

iii ) at night, listened to live band at Laguna Resort is not a bad idea. Especially as a teenager, night is always too young for us :)

iv ) Another speciality of this island is the florescence coral eggs near the rocks.

Here do have pub as well as club but it just don't suit me. We would rather spent time chit-chating or playing poker in room. They didn't really prepare enough activities or games for us. I was expecting more water sports such as Banana boat or speed boat. We just had to be clever enough to organized our own activities.

Food & Beverages

I must say the food here is awesome! We enjoyed 4 meals per day. Every each meal was sumptuous and delicious enough until we don't wanna miss any of it even we're still full. It consisted a great variety according to the needs of each meal.

They prepared coffee, tea, orange juice, dessert & soup for every different meals. Mineral water is provided to be refilled . Just bring your own bottle. We brought along snacks and cup noodles but ended up bringing them back. However, it's a little bit pity that the BBQ dinner is well-prepared at the kitchen that we can't smoke ourselves with BBQ smell.

Facilities

Redang Bay Resort provided playground, court for games ( basketball, table tennis & outdoor badminton) and a swimming pool. Four-wheels transport is prepared to send Laguna Resort for any medical emergency. Even emergency at night, doctor is on-call, saving my friend who was suffering from stomach infection. Heard that Laguna Resort and Redang Bay Resort are under same company. It should be a good idea for us who can use the facilities at both sides.

Cleanliness

I guessed I didn't spotted any rubbish. The sand, sea and the surrounding were clean. What impressed me so much was the A grade deserved by the cafe. Frankly speaking, it was clean and tidy. Just realize no ants or flies disturbing me while I was eating that time.
